Solar Film Foundation CC Terms and Conditions

In these terms: Goods means the window films, signage material or other products manufactured or supplied by Solar Film Foundation (SFF) and the subject of the order made by you. You and Your means the person ordering Goods from SFF. SFF or We or Us or Our means SFF.

  • Our Contract

Our website invites You to buy Goods from Us. A legally binding contract with You will only arise once SFF has received payment for the Goods in full from You. If You have provided an email address on Your order form, We shall notify You of acceptance of Your order by e-mail.

  • Ownership of Goods

Goods provided by Solar Film Foundation CC remain the property of Solar Film Foundation CC until full payment has been received by us

  • Substitution of Goods if stock is not available:

If the Goods You order are unavailable We will notify You as soon as possible and suggest a suitable replacement. We reserve the right to substitute Goods from our range with other Goods of equal or greater value without additional charge to the customer should the original product be unavailable.

  • Greater size of Stock sent to customer

We reserve the right to provide products of greater size than those shown on our site without additional charge to the customer should the original product width be unavailable

  • Price

The Price for any Goods ordered by You will be the price shown on the website at the time You place Your order and will include all taxes applicable from time to time.

Delivery charges within the Republic of South Africa are added at the checkout if you do not meet the minimum order quantity. If you require delivery outside of the Republic of South Africa, You are advised to contact Us on Our enquiry page or by email in advance of placing your order. If there is any change in the delivery charge payable We will notify You before Your order is accepted by Us.

  • Right for you to cancel your contract

You cannot change or cancel Your order if the Goods You have ordered are manufactured, measured or custom-made to Your requirements or specifications as these Goods will not be re-sellable by Us. We regret that once Your order has been accepted by Us in relation to such Goods and entered on Our manufacturing process We are unable to accept any changes to these Goods or cancellation of Your order without levying a handling charge (see below). If prior to delivery You do wish to change Your order or cancel it after We have accepted it, please contact us as soon as possible on Our enquiry line or by e-mail and We will try to assist You.

Our acceptance of cancellation of Your order will be subject to retention by Us of a handling charge equal to 30% of the price paid by for these custom-made Goods. The balance of the price paid will be reimbursed to You within 30 days of notification of cancellation.

  • Returns:

We have a 14 Day return policy , which means you have 14 days after recieving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and uncut. you will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact sales@sff.co.za. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without requesting a return will not be accepted. You are free to contact sales@sff.co.za for any returns questions you will have.

Damages and issues – Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you recieved the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

We will notify you once we have recieved and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved our accounts department will request your banking details and your money will be refunded to you with 14 working days. If more than 21 business days have passed please contact us on sales@sff.co.za

  • Inspections of Claims:

We reserve the right to inspect claims under the above warranty prior to any settlement being authorized

  • Product descriptions and measurement

The product information and photographs contained within Our website are provided for illustrative purposes only and We cannot warrant they are accurate. If You are in any doubt as to the precise nature of the product You wish to order You are advised to request a sample prior to order.

As the Goods You order are manufactured according to the design and measurements You provide in Your order, it is very important that Your order is accurate in this respect. We cannot accept the return of Goods by reason of the design or measurements You provided being incorrect. We recommend that if You are unsure to contact us directly for assistance via phone or email. Whilst every attempt will be made by SFF to ensure that the Goods sold and delivered match in every respect any sample or description shown or given or sent to You, any minor or immaterial variation or change in colour or pattern between the sample or description and the Goods delivered shall not entitle You to reject the Goods nor to claim any compensation for such variation or change.

  • Representations

No statement, description, or recommendation contained in any catalogue, price list, advertisement, communication, the pages of this website or by any employee or agent of SFF shall be interpreted so as to enlarge, vary or override in any way of these terms and conditions.

  • Installation Quality:

When buying a Do it yourself (DIY) kit You agree that the product installation quality is determined by Your own ability. SFF cannot be held responsible for defects or breakages resulting from poor installation or use of material incorrectly. These include but are not limited to bubbling, visual impairment, scratches, glass breakage or cracking, dust and damage to surrounding fixtures and fittings, paintwork, personal injury and financial loss.

  • Local Planning & Body Corporate Rules Compliance:

It is Your responsibility to ensure that all local planning & Body Corporate rules are complied with before installing any Goods. In general, the use of SFF Goods do not fall under planning laws, however there can be some areas were historic/heritage rules can apply. It is also recommended that landlords be advised of the proposed installation prior to commencement. Again there are generally no restrictions however some landlords may reserve the right to request removal of any product that changes the appearance of their building

  • Safety and Security Disclaimer:

The Company does not guarantee that the use of safety / security products will prevent injury or criminal access. The Goods when applied professionally do comply with health and safety regulations and building regulations, however self application does not qualify the glass to these regulations. The performance of safety/security films can increase the time and effort required to break through glass but does not prevent access to determined attackers.

  • Automotive Disclaimer:

When using Window Film on vehicles it is the law that no tinted film can be applied to the windscreen (except for a thin sun visor strip) or the drivers and front passenger doors. In essence nothing in front of the B post can be treated with tinted films. We will accept no responsibility if the Police issue a removal instruction and/or SFF will not be liable for any accident, personal injury or fatality where tinted window film is used on a vehicle.

  • Online Shopping Payment Methods: A client can pay via EFT or Payfast (https://www.payfast.co.za/)
    • Credit & Cheque Cards: Visa, Mastercard credit cards are the most popular and trusted online payment methods around the world.

  • General

All of our products carry different sets of warranties. Kindly note that the vast majority of problems are due to installation error and not product failure. We recommend that the customer follow our installation instructions accurately to promote a trouble free product life.
